Calculation Tools- Overview

RohMax has developed tools in order to enable the calculation of:

Blending Efficiency

• The % by weight of a RohMax VII needed to reach a desired viscosity at 100 °C
• The viscosity at 100 °C of a blend containing a given amount of a RohMax VII

Viscosity Index

• The Viscosity Index of a formulation knowing its viscosity at 100 °C and 40 °C
• The viscosity at 100 ºC of a formulation knowing its VI and its viscosity at 40º

Base Oil Mixtures

• The viscosity of a mixture of oils with known viscosity
• The ratio of oils with known viscosity needed to achieve a desired viscosity

CCS Viscosity of Group I Base Oils

• The CCS viscosity of a base stock at a given temperature
  knowing its viscosity at 100 °C

Caution: These results are calculated values that are aimed to ease the blending of formulations but not to substitute them. Please check the result by measuring the actual value in the formulation.
